Also known as the Verde e Amarelle or Auriverde in Portugese, the Brazilian flag features a blue globe set on a gold diamond in the centre of the green flag. Within this blue globe sit 27 stars, representing the states within Brazil. The flag features a banner with the words Ordem e Progresso (Order and Progress) the national motto. The green of the flag represents the beautiful flora and fauna that Brazil is home to, the gold diamond is symbolic of the country’s wealth both in gold and in the fertile soil.
