Signal Rescue Mirror by ATKA

The ATKA Signal Rescue Mirror is a compact emergency signalling device designed to help attract the attention of rescuers when travelling in remote areas. By reflecting sunlight towards a visible target, it provides a simple way to signal for assistance when mobile communications are unavailable or other signalling equipment is not accessible.

Measuring approximately 110 x 80 mm, the mirror is small enough to carry in an emergency kit, hiking pack, camping equipment or outdoor survival kit. Its compact format makes it a practical addition to safety equipment for bushwalking, camping, boating and other outdoor activities where reliable emergency signalling can be important.

The mirror includes a star aiming indicator to help direct reflected sunlight towards a target, along with instructions to guide its use. A neck lanyard helps keep the mirror accessible when required, reducing the chance of misplacing this small but useful piece of emergency equipment.

For best results, familiarise yourself with the instructions before heading outdoors. A signal mirror is most effective when there is sufficient sunlight and a clear line of sight to the intended target, and should form part of a broader emergency preparedness kit.
