The TACMED SOF Tactical Tourniquet Wide is a purpose-designed medical device for controlling severe limb bleeding in emergency situations. Developed for demanding military and pre-hospital environments, it is suited to inclusion in individual first aid kits (IFAKs), trauma kits, emergency response equipment and workplace first aid supplies.

The tourniquet features a reinforced, low-stretch polyester compression band designed to tighten around an injured limb. Its detachable buckle allows the band to be opened and positioned around a limb when passing the tourniquet over the extremity is not practical, including situations involving restricted access.

An aircraft-grade aluminium windlass provides the leverage needed to tighten the band, while the indicator wedge helps confirm when excess slack has been removed. Once tightened, the windlass is secured using the Tri-Ring Lock™ and Tourniquet Retention Assistance Clip™ (TRAC), helping maintain the applied tension.

Designed to support both one-handed and two-handed application, the SOF Tactical Tourniquet Wide is a practical option for trained personnel who require compact, purpose-built haemorrhage-control equipment. Its black finish is suitable for tactical and professional medical kits.
