The OPINEL No. 8 Black Oak is a distinctive take on the brand’s traditional folding pocket knife, combining a matt black blade and locking ring with a natural oakwood handle. It is suited to everyday cutting tasks, outdoor activities and camping, while its contrasting finish gives it a refined appearance for collectors and those looking for a practical gift.

The 85 mm blade is made from modified Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel. Its black finish is applied using a specialised surface treatment that improves corrosion resistance while retaining suitability for food contact. The oak handle features an aluminium inlay and a varnished finish that highlights the wood grain.

The Virobloc safety ring locks the blade in both the open and closed positions, helping prevent unintended movement during use and transport. The black coating is sensitive to scratching, so avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and abrasive sponges when cleaning the knife.
