The #08 Workshop knife reveals the expertise and creativity of Opinel's craftsmen. To limit the waste of damaged ebony, this handle allows them to recover the wood that would have otherwise been scrapped. The result is a mix of walnut and ebony separated by a sheet of maple. To get a velvet touch, a specific wax is applied manually on each handle.

The 8.5 cm blade is made from corrosion-resistant Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel which is low maintenance and provides excellent cutting quality. The Virobloc safety ring allows the user to work with minimal risks.
