Brown painted wooden box for 7.62mm SLR ammunition. Hinged lid with fastener. Khaki webbing strap and handles. Base secured with screws.

Variety of markings
500 rounds MF, 15-3-63, 7.62mm BAL L2A2, LINKED IN BANDOLIERS'.

303(in White), rectangle with 500 cartges,.303 ball

Stamped on the base: 'H26
