MILITARY SURPLUS M-1956 Pistol Belt Vertical Weave - GRADE 3

The US Army pistol belt of WW2 proved so versatile that it became the basis of the new web gear introduced in the 1950s and 1960s. The M-1956 pistol belt was constructed of 100% cotton webbing and could carry any ammo pouch in the military. Of course, its grommets would accomodate any other web gear item with hanging loops. It was widely used in the Vietnam war by US, Australian and NZ troops as the standard pistol belt. The Vietnam era  M-56 Vert Weave Cotton Pistol Belt is complete with all of the original belt keepers. It incorporates the brass "X" front buckle, the distinguishing feature of this model. It is the rare vertical weave version of this belt.
